Randy and I just spent a few days in High Point North Carolina for the International Furniture show. High Point North Carolina hosts one of the largest furniture trade-shows in the industry. With over 3 million square feet of furniture, rugs and accessories to see, it can be a bit overwhelming. No mater how hard we try to see it all, it’s impossible to see everything! I’ve been going to this show on and off for the last 14 years, and it’s always exciting. High Point really is the epicenter for home fashion. Manufactures and buyers from around the world come to see what’s new in the industry. It’s a great source of inspiration.
A fabulous one-of-a-kind Antique throne chair.
The sponsors of the show always put on a free concert for the attendees – this time it was Rick Springfield. I didn’t really care about going, but it was right outside our hotel window – literally. Randy wanted to check it out, and I’m glad we did – Springfield was fabulous!
Rick Springfield performing. Sorry about the glare.
Went to a great Southern Restaurant called Lucky 32. Great Low Country food. Hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, shrimp & grits, and a lot of fantastic Southern dishes with a twist.
This is a roasted pork dish with grits and fried jalapenos.
Had a great peanut butter pie…
and persimmon bread pudding with a Southern Comfort Hard Sauce – Delish!
