When most people think of the July 4th holiday, BBQ’s, fireworks and the beach may come to mind. But here at Paula & Chlo, we see visions of red, white or blue handbags; ways to accessorize our beach wardrobe and, of course, beauty accoutrements to make our skin supple and bikini-ready.
We already picked our favorite red, white and blue pieces last week, but we’ve finally narrowed down our three patriotic looks for the long weekend. Here’s our 4th of July style guide:
FRIDAY, JULY 4TH
No need to decorate ourselves in the American flag to be patriotic. On the actual day itself, we’re making a statement by pairing our favorite chambray dress with this tribal red, white and blue statement necklace and white Eugenia Kim hat. At night, while watching the fireworks, we’ll take off the hat and wrap ourselves in this Chan Luu infinity scarf.
SATURDAY, JULY 5TH
We’re hitting the beach! And the most important thing is to properly pack our beach bag. So we’ve stuffed our favorite Lolo Avery pouch with the essential beauty items: TokyoMilk Dark La Vie Mort No. 90 Shea Butter Balm to keep us moisturized and smelling great, Library of Flowers Field & Flowers Hand Creme for quick application, and a Sara Happ Red Velvet Lip Scrub. We toss that pouch in our Sorial Rubina Tote bag along with a few magazines and top off our look with this House of Harlow 1960 Mykonos Bar Necklace.
SUNDAY, JULY 6TH
After an easy Sunday morning, we’re heading to a lobster dinner on the bay and using this as a last opportunity to sport our country’s colors. White jeans and a tank are topped off with this Claudia Nichole Cashmere Dress Topper in Poppy Red, this Chan Luu Cream Pearl 5 Wrap Bracelet adds just a hint of bling to our wrist and this Elizabeth And James Cinnie Sling Blackpack keeps the look thoroughly modern.
Happy Fourth of July!
